🔵 1. Understand the Scheme (What You Get)

The Odisha Government gives ₹51,000 support for the marriage of girls from poor and eligible families.

  • Breakdown of ₹51,000:
  • ₹35,000 – Direct cash transferred to bride’s bank account
  • ₹10,000 – Wedding gifts (household items)
  • ₹6,000 – For organising group marriage event

🔵 2. Check Eligibility (Very Important)

Make sure you meet every condition:

✔ Bride (your daughter) must be 18 years or above

✔ Groom must be 21 years or above

✔ You must be a resident of Odisha

✔ Your family should belong to one of these categories:

  • BPL (Below Poverty Line)
  • SC (Scheduled Caste)

🔵 5. Ask for the “Mukhyamantri Kanya Bibaha Yojana Application Form”

This is also known as the MKBY Form.

Fill the form carefully with:

🔵 6. Submit the Form to the Office (IA or Block Office)

✔ Family actually qualifies


🔵 8. Receive Approval & Event Notification

Once approved, you will receive:

✔ Confirmation that your daughter is selected
✔ Date & venue for the Group Marriage Ceremony

(Under the scheme, marriages are conducted in group events for transparency and support.)


🔵 9. Attend the Group Marriage Ceremony

On the event day:

  • Carry all original documents
  • Registrar will be present
  • Marriage will be legally conducted
  • Marriage certificate will be issued immediately
  • Bride receives the wedding gift package (₹10,000 worth items)

🔵 10. Post-Event Submission (Handled by IA)

After the event, the Implementing Agency will:

✔ Upload your documents
✔ Submit Utilization Certificate
✔ Upload photos & attendance
✔ Send final report to DSWO

You do not need to do anything here.


🔵 11. Receive ₹35,000 in Bride’s Bank Account (DBT)

After final approval & report:

👉 ₹35,000 will be transferred directly to the bride’s bank account
(DBT – Direct Benefit Transfer)

This usually happens within a few weeks after the marriage ceremony.


🔵 12. Keep Your Documents Safe

After receiving money, keep:

  • Marriage certificate
  • DBT proof
  • Acknowledgement receipts
  • Form copy

These may be needed in future.
